For great food and a vibrant atmosphere, Chinatown is the place to head to at night.
There are even Michelin Star street vendors with long line ups of those waiting to sample their delicacies.
You can even get a $200 crayfish here or a serve of crunchy insects including beetles and scorpions.
Insects may well be the future food for us all as we plunder the oceans.
Sadly, shark fin is still on the menu here (below).
We met some newlyweds celebrating their nuptials with ice blocks while nearby others enjoyed a fish tank pedicure feeding fish with their scaly feet.
This lady was carting around 8 pups as a way to garner cash.
And…These 2 kids were happily entertaining themselves on the supermarket floor in a corner while their folks worked behind the counter.
On closer inspection we saw that they had a live squirrel playmate .
Love it!
There seems to be no end to the variety of tourists and cuisines available on Yaoworat Road.
No dieting and plenty of visual entertainment here.
